RALLIER Talk
Push-to-talk voice channels for your crew and your club, with a map of where everyone is and support for hardware push-to-talk buttons.
RALLIER Talk is push-to-talk voice, built on the Zello Work network and tied to your RALLIER account. It's instant voice for a crew on a drive or a club at an event — no dialing, no missed calls, just hold a button and talk.
On the web
Talk access is turned on through your account. Once it's on, the Talk hub in the central app is where you manage your own channels: create a personal channel, rename or delete it, and choose which of your friends can join it. Group channels work differently — a club's shared channels are set up and managed from that group's own admin area, and you're added to them automatically as part of the group's Talk setup rather than building them yourself.
The hub also shows you where things stand — which channels you're in, personal and group side by side — so you always know what you're connected to before you open the Talk app itself.
In the RALLIER Talk app
RALLIER Talk is a separate app from the main RALLIER Hub app, and it's where the actual push-to-talk happens. Sign in with your RALLIER account, and you'll see your personal channels and any channels your groups have set up, all in one list. Hold the talk button to transmit; a map shows where friends and group members currently are, so you can coordinate a drive or find people at an event without leaving the channel.
Both the iOS and Android apps support external push-to-talk hardware, but the details differ by platform. On iOS, RALLIER Talk pairs with Bluetooth PTT accessories — handsets built for exactly this, so you can talk without touching your phone — and on an Apple-silicon iPad, it works with an Elgato Stream Deck: every channel you've joined gets its own physical key that shows whether it's receiving or transmitting, and holding a key talks on that channel. On Android, the app can start automatically when your device boots and includes a battery-optimization helper that walks you through letting it run in the background without being closed by the system — both aimed at the same problem, staying connected on a long drive without you having to think about it.
Tips
- Personal channels are yours to build — invite the friends you actually drive with rather than leaving a channel open to everyone.
- On iOS, pair a Bluetooth PTT accessory once and it stays registered, so you're not tapping your phone screen to talk while you're driving.
- On an Apple-silicon iPad, an Elgato Stream Deck turns your channel list into physical buttons — worth setting up if you're running Talk from a command post at an event rather than from your pocket.
- On Android, say yes when RALLIER Talk asks to run without battery restrictions — otherwise the system can quietly disconnect you between transmissions on a long trip.
